The group starts exploring the tunnels beneath Rall Elorim. After some skulking around they notice an Eyes of Pala agent. They manage to convince Kaiana to be a distraction by pretending to turn herself in. As the group positions themselves behind the agent, she starts to run and is obliterated by them.

A bit further in the group finds a huge stone pillar with several names on it. Sha notices that they are of scholars, leaders and academics of the past with the most recent being 500 years old. The group also finds a mausoleum with several urns in it. Tas-son-Dar shakes a few of them but they fail to find anything. Orlan notices that there is body of water and swims through the tunnel that leads into the central chamber where she sees two agents. The group decides to distract one of the agents with their animal companions. While one agent is distracted they question the other with a blade at his neck. Ultimately they dispose of both agents and continue inwards.

After a desolate hallway they happen upon a door that is locked with an intricate mechanism that uses emeralds. After some trying around they manage to pick the lock and happen upon Ylt and four of his minions. Tas-son-Dar disguises the group as agents of the Eyes of Palla but Ylt sees right through the disguise. As he notices that this is going to be their final confrontation, he grabs a sharpened gemstone that thrums in a violet light and rams it into the heard of one of his followers. The other three do the same and are enveloped in shadows momentarily and turn into shadowy apparitions which are melded with shadowspren. A fight breaks out and the group manages to dispatch the shadow apparitions. Ylt, being backed into a corner, swears his third ideal and gets a power surge but to no avail. The group manages to defeat Ylt and take Taln's Honourblade.

Moments after the Herald Palliah enters the room. She sees Ylt dead and mourns him. The group asks her about Ylt, the heralds and the past. With some answer but not all, they decide to leave to return the Honourblade to Shinovar.
